This is a bi-coloured pair of slitted trousers made along the fashion of the lansquenets. It is not certain where this fashion originated from, but historians suggest that lansquenets started cutting their clothing in the late 15th century for it was too tight for them to properly fight in. This would be the origin of the typical fashion these legendary mercenaries came to be known for.
The Jörg trousers are made from robust, high-quality canvas material. Their generous cut allows great freedom of movement in combat. The waistband may be closed by means of two buttons in ancient brass finish. Cotton laces give rise to the typical puffy legs of lansquenet fashion.
